If you are an entrepreneur who has an idea for a creative project, I would highly recommend using a crowd funding platform like Kickstarter to both validate your idea and to get your first batch of products released.
I had one successful Kickstarter project a few years ago when it was just starting out, but since then Kickstarter has gotten pretty massive and had several multi-million dollar projects funded through their platform.
Also, the bar has been raised quite a bit on the level of quality you need to invest when creating the page about your product. Usually people want to see a nice video about your product and how it works as well as some shots of the final product, which means professional photos and possibly some graphics to represent various ideas and concepts.
And to even get to the point where you’re ready to show and share your project with the world, you’re likely going to need to go through several series of designs and prototypes. Sure, you can fund this all yourself, but another resource you may want to consider is SoFi, with is a peer-to-peer lending platform that allows you to quickly and easily raise money from a large group of people and pay back the loan over time.
If you plan this properly you can get a loan from SoFi to get started on your idea, and then once it’s complete you can publish the project on Kickstarter and hopefully not only raise enough to produce and distribute the product, but make a little extra so that you can pay back the loan in full.
So, in short, if you have an amazing idea for a creative project, don’t get trapped in the idea that you’re all by yourself and you don’t have any resources. There are so many different tools and resources and platforms that you can leverage these days to execute your ideas and turn them into realities if you really want to make them happen.
