When most people think of passive income or making money online…they only thing they’re concerned about is making lots of money ONCE. NOW.
They don’t give much thought about the future.
Well, just as a solid 9 to 5 job gives you some sense of security and peace of mind that you’re going to be getting another paycheck either monthly, biweekly or weekly…it’s nice to have that with the online income streams you build up for yourself as well.
Now, many affiliate programs and networks do only pay once a month, so if you’ve built up some decent commissions, it’s nice to get a big lump sum of money…however, it’s also nice if you can find some that do pay weekly or biweekly, so that you can get paid and expect deposits in your bank account, multiple times per week or per month.
And once you figure out who pays at certain times and you partner with those companies and products, then you can start to build up your commissions in each of those accounts.
I’ll give you an example…
I used to think just ANY money that I made on the Internet was fine by me…I didn’t care about when I got or who paid me. But recently I started to notice that, for instance, Clickbank pays weekly on Wednesdays (unless you’re making lots and lots of money, then they can pay you almost daily). ClickFunnels pays me on Tuesdays. Gumroad, who I use to sell some of my own digital products, pays out on Fridays. And then other programs pay once per month, but some pay at the first part of the month, while others pay around the 15th or 20th.
So, knowing that information, again, I can start working towards building up certain income streams, and expecting certain amounts at certain times, instead of just randomly working a little here or a little bit there and just being surprised when anything at all shows up.
Hopefully, this short article and simple perspective on commissions and getting paid will help you figure out the best programs and affiliate networks you should apply to and work with and I hope that you got some value out of it.
I know that once I started treating my online income streams like a real business rather than a hobby and taking note of simple things such as when I got paid by certain companies, my income started to skyrocket.
