I know there’s two camps when it comes to credit and credit cards.
On one side there’s the Dave Ramsey listeners that think all credit is the devil.
And then there’s folks like me that absolutely LOVE credit as a tool for leverage (if used correctly).
Basically, credit cards aren’t dangerous at all and can only help you IF you pay them off on time.
And there’s a lot of great perks to most major credit cards, but not all are created equal.
I personally like the ones with no annual fee, and that offer some sort of upfront incentive such as miles or cash back in exchange for spending a few thousand dollars in your first 90ish days, which isn’t hard to do.
One of my favorite credit cards is the Chase Freedom Unlimited credit card.
At the time of me writing this post Chase is offering a FREE $150 cash back for just spending $500 in your first 3 months…not hard to do at all.
And if you don’t have anything to spend $500 dollars on, here’s how to quickly and easily get that cash back.
- Create a FREE PayPal Business account
- Pay YOURSELF $500 with your newly activated Chase Freedom Unlimited credit card (yes, there will be a tiny PayPal fee deducted from the transaction)
- Withdraw the money to your bank account and pay off your credit card
Now, within about a month you will receive your $150 credit within your account. It’s that simple.
Also, as an additional BONUS I love how they offer $50 cash back for any friends you invite to apply for the Chase Freedom Unlimited credit card.
You can earn up to $500 cash back per year for referring your friends to this card.
