If you’re on this page, you’re probably only the fence wondering…”do I really NEED an antivirus solution?”
I get it. I don’t like to pay for stuff either.
Now, if you’re on a PC, I would say having a good antivirus and spyware/adware solution is essential, but I’ve been a Mac user now for several years and for the most part have never has any issues with bugs and my computer running slow and locking up.
But occasionally you do find yourself on sites with shady popups that download stuff to your computer faster than you’re able to click cancel, so in those cases I would suggest installing an antivirus software, and doing a quick system scan and cleanup just to be sure.
I really like McAfee Antivirus (and this is coming from a guy who hates antivirus stuff with a passion), and if you’re on a Mac or PC it’s the only solution I recommend.
They actually have a free trial, so if you’re computer is currently running really slow or you think it’s infected, you can download and try it for free, and then if you want to keep it so that you can use it in the future, it’s pretty cheap.
